MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A 23-year-old man accused of molesting a 10-year-old was arrested in Marion County, according to the sheriff’s office.
Jason Mena was arrested on Nov. 18, nearly three months after deputies received a call reporting the molestation.

According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the Department of Children and Families reported on Aug. 20 that the child reported Mena touched her inappropriately when she was 10 years old. The sheriff’s office did not specify how old the child was during the arrest.
“According to the victim’s disclosure, although she had tried to get away, Mena continued to molest her,” a release said.
Deputies located Mena on Nov. 18 and during an interview, the suspect “admitted to a long-standing problem with pornography, which he stated gave him the thought to do this,” the sheriff’s office said.
Mena faces a charge of lewd and lascivious behavior on a victim younger than 12 years old.
At the time of his arrest, Mena was working with children full-time at the Rocking F Ranch, located on SW 172nd Loop in Ocala. Deputies believe it is possible there are other victims.
