BELLEVIEW, Fla. – Police are searching for a 60-year-old man reported missing and endangered out of a Belleview assisted living facility.

William “Bill” Matthew Ous was reported missing around 11:20 p.m. Wednesday at Prestige Manor III, located at 6333 Babb Road, the Belleview Police Department said in a news release. Ous had last been seen at the facility around 5 p.m. that day, the release states, adding facility administration was unable to explain the more-than six-hour delay in contacting authorities.

Ous is described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 150 pounds with blue eyes and gray hair. He’s reportedly diagnosed with various health conditions and requires daily medication. No clothing description was available.

Ous has left the facility in the past, when he was located near SE Baseline Rd/SR 40 in Ocala, according to the release. However, police say one of Ous’ family members has since come forward to advise the 60-year-old is unfamiliar with the Marion County area and believes he still resides in Connecticut.

Belleview police worked overnight with Marion County deputies, the sheriff’s office’s aviation unit and a K-9 team to locate Ous, but he remains missing.

Anyone who sees Ous or knows of his whereabouts is urged to contact 911 immediately.
