OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – The Osceola County School District is hosting thousands of students and their families for the 2024 Choice Fair at Osceola Heritage Park.
The gathering on Thursday gives parents an opportunity to learn about the school options available that will best fit their child’s needs.
Parents and students attending the fair have the opportunity to have personalized conversations with school administrators and students, learn about different pathways and career clusters, and participate in hands-on activities at each school booth.

Adriana Casillas is the supervisor of Osceola’s choice programs and said there is a wide range of career and technical education programs available from elementary through high school.
“We are starting to create all of these pathways so the students, no matter what their interest, know that we have a school for them,” Casillas said.
Some of the career clusters and pathways highlighted at different schools include agriculture, architecture, engineering, health science, and arts.
“The essence of the program is for students to select a school that has that one program that is really going to impact their lives academically and professionally,” Casillas said.
The choice application window is open until late January 2025. Applicants are selected through a lottery system and based on availability at the school.
If a student is admitted into their chosen school transportation is the responsibility of the parent, with the exception of certain eligible programs.
The 2024 Choice Fair begins at 5 p.m. Thursday at Osceola Heritage Park.
