Man found shot, injured at Ocala rec center, police say

OCALA, Fla. – A man shot and injured himself Thursday at an Ocala recreation center, police said.

The shooting was reported around 1:30 p.m. at the E.D. Croskey Center at 1510 NW 4th St.

Ocala police on Friday said the man suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound, but did not provide any other updates about the incident, including the severity of the injuries.

“The scene has been processed and no suspects are being sought. There is no threat to the public,’ police added.
