Man accused of murdering fiancée in St. Cloud, police say

ST. CLOUD, Fla. – A man arrested early Sunday in St. Cloud is accused of shooting and killing his fiancée after a late-night argument, according to police.

Timothy Hyder, 57, was arrested in the death of Natalie Du’Mee, whose body was found on the back patio of the couple’s home, the St. Cloud Police Department said in a statement.

Officers had responded around 1 a.m. to a shooting reported out of Western Sun Drive, the statement reads. In addition to locating Du’Mee’s body, officers also found a handgun in plain sight on a kitchen counter, police said.

Hyder was taken into custody without incident and was cooperating with detectives, according to police.

“Our hearts go out to the victim and her loved ones during this unimaginably difficult time.” St. Cloud police Chief Douglas Goerke said in a statement. “If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, there are resources to support you.
