ORLANDO, Fla. – A house fire in Orlando sent two people to the hospital Monday night, including a firefighter who was injured while battling the flames.
The blaze broke out at a two-story home on the 200 block of East Amelia Street. Orlando Fire Department crews responded quickly, evacuating the building and extinguishing the flames.
According to officials, one person suffered burn injuries and was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center. Their injuries are described as non-life-threatening. A firefighter was also injured on the scene and taken to a nearby hospital. The firefighter’s condition has not yet been released.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The Orlando Fire Department’s Arson and Bomb Squad is leading the effort to determine how the fire started.
