‘Cirque Mechanics Winter Wonder Shoppe’ performing outside Dr. Phillips Center Dec. 12-29

ORLANDO, Fla. – Acrobatics, contortionists, unicyclists and trampoline wall performers are getting ready to take over the Seneff Arts Plaza in front of Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

Under a brightly-colored Big Top, you can expect to see world-renowned aerial and acrobatic artists as they interact with innovative mechanical devices during “Cirque Mechanics Winter Wonder Shoppe.”

On Thursday, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Orange County Chief of Staff to Mayor Jerry Demings Roseann Harrington, and Dr. Phillips Center president and CEO Kathy Ramsberger officially welcomed the performers with a special ceremony that included the final stake of the big top tent being installed.

“Cirque Mechanics Winter Wonder Shoppe” runs Dec. 12-29.

On Dec. 18, there will be a community giveback event, where 500 students will get to go to a preshow reception and see the performance for free.

There will also be a sensory-friendly performance on Dec. 22 at noon. That show will feature adjusted sound and lighting, along with a relaxed theater environment.
