DELTONA, Fla. – A Volusia County deputy accidentally shot herself in the leg at a Walmart in Deltona on Saturday, according to the sheriff’s office.

It happened around 1 p.m. at the Walmart located along Howland Boulevard, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said on social media.

Other deputies on scene rendered aid until EMS arrived to take the injured deputy to a hospital, the post states, adding the deputy was OK.

Glad she’s OK and wishing her a full and speedy recovery from her injuries!
