BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Topgolf, the restaurant, sport and entertainment venue, is investing $28 million to open its first venue in Brevard County, according to city records.

Greg Copeland, a representative for the Texas-based brand spoke to county commissioners last month for initial permit application approvals.

“We are a great complement to the already vibrant sports scene here,” Copeland said to the commissioners during the Nov. 19 meeting.

On Thursday, this project is set to go to the board again for additional discussion.

The two-story building will sit on 18 acres and will feature 64 hitting bays, an outdoor patio, restaurant, bar and video wall, Copeland said.

He also said, it will also create roughly 150 constructions jobs and hire 200 employees once opened.

According to city records, it will be located off the north end of Bromley Drive east of Lake Andrew Drive in Viera, minutes away from The Avenue Viera shopping center.

Once built, this would mark the11th Topgolf in the state, as it currently has nine across Florida with one under construction in Panama City Beach, Copeland said.

There are two locations in Central Florida – Orlando and Lake Mary.

Topgolf is known for the “Toptracer technology” it has developed for its hitting bays – this creates a unique group experience as guests can play different games rather than a standard golf match.

“Creating moments that matter, it is one of the things we pride ourselves on ... we want to make that a staple here in Viera,” Copeland said.
