Nearly three dozen Marion County firefighters battled a large structure fire early Tuesday in Umatilla, but no injuries were reported.
Around 5:30 a.m., firefighters arrived at the 24000 block of Southeast Highway 42 after multiple calls alerted first responders to a large barn fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found a 5,000-square-foot commercial building that was approximately 50 percent engulfed in flames.

After multiple propane tanks were found, firefighters worked carefully to combat the fire. Several explosions were reported, highlighting the intense nature of the fire.

The fire was declared under control at 7:30 a.m., although crews remained on site for an extended overhaul operation to ensure complete extinguishment.
No injuries were reported to either firefighters or civilians.
A total of 32 firefighters and seven suppression units were involved in bringing the fire under control.
