Orlando police arrest man in connection to Ivey Lane ‘suspicious death’

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 50-year-old man faces charges related to a man’s death at an apartment complex on Ivey Lane, according to the Orlando Police Department.

Police said they responded to the Avalyn West apartments on Dec. 18 around 4:14 a.m. in regards to a “suspicious incident.”

According to OPD, when officers arrived, they found 46-year-old Jerome Thomas dead at the scene.

Orlando police did not disclose how Thomas died or provide any other information regarding their investigation.

Police said that on Saturday, an arrest warrant was executed for Carleton D. Sealey.

Sealey faces charges of first-degree murder with a firearm, home invasion robbery, burglary of a dwelling with assault/battery with a firearm, and fraudulent use of credit cards exceeding $100.

Sealey is being held at the Orange County jail, OPD said.
