Silver Alert canceled for missing Marion County 86-year-old man with dementia

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A Silver Alert for a missing 86-year-old man with dementia was canceled after he was found safe, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said Kenneth Bell left his residence on SE 53rd Terrace in Summerfield on Tuesday morning after telling a family member that he was going to get in his car and “just drive.”

According to a news release, he left his home in a gray 2018 Ford F150, with Florida license plate 39309Z.

Deputies said that he was later located during a traffic stop in South Carolina and that he is safe.

According to the release, based on several statements made in the past few days, Bell may have been traveling to New York.
