MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing 86-year-old man with dementia last seen over 24 hours ago, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said Kenneth Bell left his residence on SE 53rd Terrace in Summerfield on Tuesday morning after telling a family member that he was going to get in his car and “just drive.”

According to a news release, he left his home in a gray 2018 Ford F150, with Florida license plate 39309Z.

Dell also has diabetes and has a history of heart attacks and strokes, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies said Dell stands 6 feet tall, weighs 170 pounds and has gray hair and brown eyes.

According to the release, based on several statements made in the past few days, Bell may be traveling to New York.
A Florida Silver Alert “is used to locate missing persons suffering from an irreversible deterioration of intellectual faculties,” according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
