ORLANDO, Fla. – Thali Sugisawa, cultural tourism director at United Arts of Central Florida, previewed WHOA!, or The Winter of Art & Heritage!, during Thursday’s Breakfast with Bridgett.
With 13 festivals, three parades and several world-class shows happening in the next couple of months, there are plenty of options to fit everyone’s interests and schedule.
The list goes on and on, including the Celebrate Lunar Festival and Market this weekend in downtown Orlando.
“When we look at everything happening in Central Florida from January to March, we saw a common theme which has to do with our kind of winter. There are a lot of festivals from Winter Garden to Windermere, Lake Nona to downtown Orlando,” Sugisawa said.
“This weekend we start celebrating Lunar New Year in downtown with Celebrate Lunar. We also have the dragon parade, so many Lunar New Year festivals. This is the Year of the Snake,” Sugisawa said. “It’s a great year to be strategic, close to nature, grounded and all Lunar New Year will be celebrating that.”
Zora! Festival kicks off in Eatonville at the end of January and next month, IMMERSE Festival takes over 10 blocks in downtown Orlando, just to name a few of the events great for all ages.
