APOPKA, Fla. – A new food pantry opened Thursday in Apopka for residents in need.
The Hope CommUnity Center has worked to provide for the residents of Apopka, and the pantry will serve as an emergency food pantry for families in need and those facing food insecurity.

Here’s when and where the food pantry will operate:
- Tuesdays: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1016 N. Park Ave. Apopka, FL, 32712
- Thursdays: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 800 S. Hawthorne Ave. Apopka, FL 32703
The pantry will offer non-perishable goods and other essentials and will be able to provide long term sustainability in addition to the traditional immediate relief by partnering with Second Harvest Bank.
The opening of the Community Food Pantry is a step forward in combating hunger in Apopka.
As Apopka’s population continues to climb, the food pantry serves as an important resource for those impacted by economic challenges to ensure no resident or their family has to go hungry.
