Around 3 a.m. on Nov. 11, Orange County deputies responded to a wooded area near Michigan Court and John Young Parkway for a fire and found Corbitt and Strickland suffering from serious injuries.

Daniel Clair Marriott, 48, was initially arrested on attempted murder charges. Deputies said they anticipate that he will face additional charges.
