ORLANDO, Fla. – Dozens at United Hands Ministry in Orlando are devastated after one of their member was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon.
Takeshia Renee Eads was fatally shot in the 5200 block of West Livingston Street. Her husband, Lamar Antonio Bryant, 41, was arrested on a charge of first-degree murder.
Pastor Rosalind Eason shared said Eads’ daughter called him to share the news.
“When her daughter called me, I was in the store shopping, and I would say Sam’s (Club) had never heard a scream like they heard before,” Eason said.
Church leaders Rosalind and John Eason say Eads participated in praise dance, community outreach and many other roles for nearly a decade. The Easons described her impact as immeasurable.
“Her attitude, her efforts, it was perfect. It fit every occasion,” John Eason said.
Rosalind recalled first meeting Eads while working with her at Saint’s Academy Private School.
“When I say she touched every aspect of that school, she was in everything. Everybody knew her and they loved her. She wasn’t perfect, but she had a way of captivating your heart and you loved her,” she said.
The Easons revealed that Eads’ accused killer has dealt with his own demons in the past.

“He existed as long as he did due to his sicknesses because of her prayers; her intercession makes it even harder,” Rosalind Eason said.
Eads was a mother of four and soon to be a grandmother of five.
The Easons said while she was taken far too soon, her impact and legacy will never be forgotten.
“The infectious love and respect that they had for her was incredible. She was a jewel. It’s almost an understatement. She led the way in outreach. She’s absolutely a model and example for everyone else to follow,” John Eason said.
