VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A Volusia County woman is facing charges, accused of using a can of wasp spray against another driver.
Documents show Tammy Jones told deputies she was driving down MLK Beltway when a Kia pulled up next to her.
Documents show Jones told deputies the driver, later identified as the victim, was shouting at her for allegedly “brake-checking” her, and the victim threw something at Jones’ car.
That’s when, records show, Jones told deputies that the victim said: “You’re lucky I don’t have my gun with me.”
According to the arrest report, Jones says that prompted her to reach into her back seat, grab a can of wasp spray, and spray it at the victim.
The report states the victim told deputies when she pulled up next to Jones, Jones “just started yelling at her” and then sprayed her and her vehicle.
The report says the victim told deputies she wanted to press charges, and deputies found probable cause to arrest Jones.
Jones is now facing battery charges.
