City of Orlando says arena set for implosion March 25

ORLANDO, Fla. – Local 6 has learned that the former home of the Orlando Magic will come crashing down later this month.

Orlando city officials confirm that the Amway Arena, which was home to the team for more than two decades,  will be imploded  at 7a.m. on Sunday, March 25.

Contractors have said they plan to use explosives to cave in the walls, along with imploding the roof. The project is expected to cost an estimated $2 million.
