DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A man was arrested Sunday after police said he robbed a Wells Fargo Bank in Volusia County.
According to the Daytona Beach Police Department, Anthony William Carpino, 44, entered the bank at 441 Seabreaze Boulevard and passed a note demanding money to a teller implying that he had a gun.
Police said Carpino was given the money in a brown paper bag. However, the bag with the money was found outside the front doors by a customer who followed the suspect.
Carpino left the area on foot heading south across Seabreaze Boulevard, according to police.
Carpino was found at Magnolia and Jean streets. He was arrested and charged with bank robbery.
