TITUSVILLE, Fla. – Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis held a news conference Thursday morning at the Valiant Air Command, Inc. Warbird Museum in Titusville.
The governor presented a check for $5.8 million in Job Growth Grand Fund monies to the Titusville-Cocoa Airport Authority for the construction of a new roadway connecting Space Coast Regional Airport to Space Coast Innovation Park.

“We have the innovation park that is a three-phase development project that is slated to house at least five buildings and create 1.4 million square feet of new industrial building space,” DeSantis said. “I was talking to some of these guys who are involved in the launches and they’re like, ‘You know, we want to make everything in Florida and then just launch it right there. You don’t want to be bringing stuff from around the country.’ So there’s a lot of industrial possibilities here, but you want to be able to link the airport to the industrial park, so that was the request, from us, to say, ‘Can you take some of your Job Growth Grant Fund money and provide that here for Space Coast Regional Airport?’ And we looked at the project and we said, ‘Yeah, we’re going to do that,’ because I think it lays the foundation where you’re going to be able to see even more job creation, I think you’ll see a positive fiscal impact.”
The governor was joined by Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nuñez and Florida Department of Transportation Secretary Jared Perdue for the news conference.
