SpaceX delays launch of next batch of Starlink satellites from Florida coast

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. – SpaceX will attempt to launch another batch of Starlink satellites Saturday evening from Kennedy Space Center.

The launch is set for 7:29 p.m., with backup opportunities through 11:29 p.m. If the launch is scrubbed altogether, the next attempt would be Sunday starting at 7:04 p.m.

Twenty-three satellites will be launched atop SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket.

While the launch was originally scheduled for Friday evening, SpaceX later announced that the launch attempt would be pushed to the weekend.

There was a 25% chance for favorable launch conditions during the Friday launch window, according to the forecast from the 45th Weather Squadron.

This launch comes after NASA and SpaceX launched a resupply mission Thursday from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

The mission, known as Commercial Resupply Services-30 or CRS-30, sent a SpaceX Dragon capsule to the space station, delivering 6,000 pounds of new science investigations, food, supplies and equipment.
