Truck catches fire on Interstate 4

Eastbound lanes of interstate reopen; No injuries reported

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – The eastbound lanes of Interstate 4 were temporarily closed after a truck caught fire, authorities said.

It happened Saturday afternoon on EB I-4 near mile marker 106, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers arrived at the scene to investigate.

The Volusia Fire Department said there were no injuries.

Troopers said the eastbound lanes reopened just before 7 p.m. Saturday, but the Florida Department of Transportation reported traffic congestion from exit 108 (Dirksen Drive/Bebary Avenue) to mile marker 106.
