DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A Volusia County woman who was convicted of drowning a puppy in an airport bathroom toilet has been arrested again.
Cynthia Anderson was originally arrested in 2015 and was re-arrested on Tuesday for violating the terms of her probation by having another animal in her possession or living with an animal.

The Edgewater woman drowned a 3-week-old puppy in Nebraska after she was told that she couldn't fly with the animal because it was too young.

Anderson was placed on probation in July 2015 for cruel neglect to animals. Her probation was set to end in July 2017.
Authorities received an anonymous tip that Anderson had a dog in her possession. The tipster told them that she was on probation for an incident in Nebraska.
Anderson and her boyfriend were seen sitting outside with a white and brown spotted pit bull, but she spotted the officer waiting for backup, officials said.

When she was questioned about the dog's whereabouts, Anderson and her boyfriend said they put the dog inside.
Officers noted a Facebook post on March 11 showing Anderson and the same pit bull.
Anderson's boyfriend, David Carr, threatened News 6 staff when they tried to speak to him Wednesday afternoon. He eventually calmed down and said he wasn't aware of Anderson's conviction or the terms of her probation.
"If I had known, I wouldn't have never went and gotten the dog," Carr said.
Carr said he adopted the dog he calls "Baby Girl" five days ago. He said he didn't know Anderson was on probation and under the terms she can't live with or be around animals.
"She's a good person. I don't understand why...I don't know, I don't know. That's what I'm trying to tell you. Just sad, just sad...for me, her, and that dog," Carr said.
Carr said he has found a home for the dog.
Anderson was ordered held without bond Wednesday in the Volusia County jail. In a few days another hearing will determine if Anderson will be extradited to Nebraska for violating her probation.
