Presidents Day is certainly climbing the ranks when it comes to getaway holiday weekends.

I think of it now as the kick-off to the spring break travel period, kind of like how Memorial Day weekend is to the summer travel period.

And parks were as popular as ever.

At Walt Disney World, it appeared there was no downtime between the long holiday weekend and the runDisney Princess Half Marathon weekend as the crowds stayed steady. To give you an idea, Genie+ sold out to Magic Kingdom guests before the park opened on Tuesday — the day AFTER Presidents Day.

The marathons are one of the few things to make note of in this week’s newsletter.

By the way, if you missed my introduction last week, I’m Haley and I’m keeping you in the loop on theme park and attractions news.

🍄 Wahoo! Super Nintendo World Hollywood celebrates its first anniversary

We still have a little time before we can dive down the warp pipe at Super Nintendo World in Orlando, but the game is already going out on the West Coast. This month, Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood celebrated its first anniversary. The innovative and immersive attraction brought to life characters such as Mario, Luigi, and Bowser. While this marked the first Nintendo-themed land stateside, Epic Universe’s version will be much bigger.

It’s been a long time coming for the Daytona Aquarium. Located in an old department store in a strip mall, the aquarium is just a stone’s throw away from the Daytona International Speedway. Click here to see why the addition is a big deal for local tourism.
