When I first took over this newsletter, I started thinking about all the things I get to cover, and that includes my favorite things.
As much as I frequent Central Florida’s theme parks, I have a strong appreciation for their resort hotels. You don’t have to stay there to enjoy shopping, dining, and holiday decorations.

This brings me to today’s edition of “In the Loop: Theme Park Scoops”. By the way, I’m Haley, and I’ll keep the egg puns to a minimum this Easter season.
Walt Disney World
🌌 Thank you for flying Star Tours
When Galaxy’s Edge opened at both Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, many Star Wars fans wondered how it would impact the Star Tours attraction. Even asking the question “Would it survive?”.
I can confirm that the force does appear to be staying strong. Next month, Star Tours – The Adventures Continue will introduce new destinations and characters from Disney+ series. If you’re wondering how many storyline variations Star Tours will have – it’s over 250.

🥚 Disney World outdoes itself on Easter
During the Christmas season, the resort hotels have established a level of decorative excellence. I’m here to tell you that you shouldn’t sleep on Easter at Walt Disney World.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is a must-visit right now. For Christmas, culinary experts assemble a life-size gingerbread house, well, let me introduce you to its cousin — The Grand Cottage. It’s the place to go to satisfy your Easter sweet tooth and pick out a few treats to go in those baskets.
And while you’re there, be sure to take in all the hand-painted Easter eggs. In fact, you can make a day out of egg-sploring at resorts.
Gaylord Palms Resort
🐰 Get your spring on at Gaylord Palms
Another place known for its elaborate (and icy) Christmas decorations is Gaylord Palms, but starting today, spring has sprung at the 64-acre resort.
There’s plenty of family fun and relaxation, like taking part in a scavenger hunt with the family or lounging poolside at the Cypress Springs Water Park. If you’re looking for a place to dine on Easter Sunday, they’ve got a buffet to consider.
SeaWorld Aquatica
An immersive adventure with a twist
Aquatica is my favorite Central Florida waterpark. When I go, I spend most of the time in their fast lazy river. Much like SeaWorld, Aquatica keeps adding to its lineup of water rides. Just in time for spring break season, its new slide will swift riders into an undersea world with a first-of-its-kind immersive element. Click here to see a preview video for “Tassie’s Underwater Twist.”
You can certainly tell that it’s nearing spring break based on the latest batch of theme park news.
Do you have plans to visit the parks or venture to Central Florida? If you need advice or ideas, drop me a line in my email or reach out to me on my Twitter or Instagram.
I’m off next week, but there will be more to talk about when I get back.
I end my newsletter the Star Tours way — buh bye!
