Generally this time of year, there’s an uptick of crowds at the theme parks, but one thing I like to point out is the wave of news that tends to come out in the spring.
We’ve been hearing updates about new attractions and events for the spring and summer, but don’t be surprised if we start talking about fall at the theme parks soon. Because it’s never too early to think about a Halloween costume or haunted house, right?

Disney Cruise Line
🛳 Have you heard the cruise news?
We have our favorite Disney heroes and we have our favorite Disney villains. When the Disney Destiny sets sail, heroes and villains will be aboard. Disney says the first-of-its-kind design theme will draw on the legacies of beloved Disney stories, characters, and theme park attractions.

Navy veteran can’t keep away from the water
Women’s History Month is about building women up for their accomplishments and that also goes for those who’ve served our country too.
Before she took on the role as a watercraft castmember, a U.S. Navy veteran proudly served for 20 years.
The next time you’re at the Magic Kingdom, be sure to take the ferryboat at least one way. You might be able to say “thank you” to Chrissy Daniels.
SeaWorld Orlando
🐬 After 60 years, there’s still a lot to ‘sea’
SeaWorld Orlando has put a lot of focus recently on its thrill rides, conversation efforts and rescues. The next time you go to their park, they want you to know there’s “So Much More to Sea.”
That’s the campaign for the company’s 60th anniversary. They kicked off the celebration this week with a launch party and previewed what’s to come at the park, including the new family coaster “Penguin Trek.” While there’s no word when exactly the new Antarctic attraction will open this spring, the park president says a train is on the track.
Universal Orlando
Leaving a mark on a Harry Potter legacy
When I found out I would be interviewing the creative minds behind famous props, such as The Maurader’s Map. The Daily Prophet and the Hogwarts Acceptance, I immediately thought about how Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima have probably seen their graphic designs as tattoos.
They definitely have.
The MinaLima founders might see a few fans with Harry Potter-inspired tattoos this weekend when they host a meet-and-greet at a pop-up shop at Universal Orlando.
If you’ve got plans to venture to the parks or if you see something interesting while you’re there, drop me a line in my email or reach out to me on my Twitter or Instagram.
I always like to be kept in the loop on my end as well.
