From music to dance, theatre, and spoken word, there’s several shows to see at the Dr. Phillips Center through it’s Lifting Voices program.

I put together a list of all the shows celebrating Hispanic artists not only this month, but through the end of the year.

Artist Nicole Salgar recently shared her mural called “Viajes despierto,” which means “awaken journey.” She explained to students with the Osceola County School of the Arts that the painting is more than just about colors, it’s about taking a moment to disconnect yourself from your busy life.

Salgar is from Cuba and Colombia. See how those two cultures strongly influenced her career in News 6 Reporter Ezzy Castro’s story.
