The holiday season is definitely in the air.
Hi, friends! It’s Brenda, back in your inbox for all the Central Florida Happenings.
This past week, I got to explore Los Angeles with some friends, and one of the items on the list was to check out DISNEYLAND! It was fantastic, amazing, incredible. We had so much fun and got to do so much at both parks!
At the top of this newsletter is a photo of the outside of their Haunted Mansion attraction, which is transformed into “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” Um, how awesome is that??? It was so fun to experience.
As we enter the second half of November and go into December, the holiday season is ramping up and so are the events to celebrate!
Here’s what’s happening ⤵️
It’s that time of year again 🏮.
The Asian Lantern Festival at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens is back this weekend and this year, dozens of all-new, hand-constructed lanterns will be illuminated by more than 10,000 LED lights around the zoo.
This event features more than 50 “larger-than-life displays of illuminated sculptures” of animals, plants and other traditional Chinese items.
There will also be a new holiday section that visitors can check out during the event.

ICE! at Gaylord Palms Resort is quickly coming to life for the season and this year, “Elf” will be featured for the first time in ice form.
Throughout the attraction, you’ll come face to face with recognizable characters like Mr. Narwhal, Jovie and Santa as they work together to spread Christmas cheer.
