Hi, friends! It’s Brenda, back in your inbox for all the Central Florida Happenings.
I did something a little crazy earlier this week and stayed out (waaaaaaaay past my bedtime) for the Kacey Musgraves concert — hence the main image and title based on her song, “Space Cowboy.”
She was fantastic, and someone I have been wanting to see for quite some time! While I did go to work the next day on three hours of sleep, I feel like I can say it was worth it.
And this weekend, I will also be crossing off an event from my list of must-dos. I will share that with you guys next newsletter though.
Here’s what’s happening this weekend ⤵️
A holiday-themed food festival? Yes, please 🎄
The Space Coast Holiday Food Fest & Craft Fair is coming to town on Friday and Saturday at Wickham Park in Melbourne. There will be holiday-themed food, of course, from over 20 vendors. There will also be a market with unique items you can snag as a potential gift for the season 🎁.
Don’t miss out on the classic Christmas movies, meeting your favorite characters, and more. And SNOW ❄️!

TIME TO KICK OFF THE HOLIDAYS!
News 6 will once again be out at Lake Eola tomorrow night for the annual tree lighting 🎄.
Don’t miss out on holiday performances, a holiday market, and meeting the News 6 morning team! Click here for more.
And Orlando isn’t the only place kicking off the holidays this weekend.

Take in the sights of the Wekiva River with a new scenic boat tour launching from Wekiva Wild.
The Wekiva Wild River Tours takes up to six people on an hourlong journey on the river, “giving a comfortable and immersive way to explore one of the state’s most scenic and pristine waterways.”
And with the warmup coming, this is a perfect way to enjoy the outdoors and do an activity with some friends and family.

Other happenings:
🎅 Santa’s darker companion arrives: Krampus is BACK. This goat-like figure, European legends say, takes care of the naughty children who don’t get presents from St. Nicholas. They may be placed in a sack and beaten with switches for their year-round transgressions. Click here to check out Krampus events in the Orlando area.
🍚 Orlando Korea Festival is back: Orlando Korea Culture Center is hosting its annual Korea Festival this Saturday. Check out “authentic food, unique vendors, traditional games, K-pop and cultural performances, and a Hanbok experience.” Click here for more info.
Festival at Fort King: This two-day event will feature historic-themed crafts, games, workshops, activities, living historians, vendors, food, drinks, and much more. The pinnacle of the event is a re-enactment of the event that fueled the start of the Second Seminole War. Click here to learn about parking and more.
That’s all from me!
I hope everyone has a great weekend, and I will see you all next week.
