Trying new things makes life a little more exciting. Doesn’t it?

Hi, friends! It’s Brenda, back in your inbox for all the Central Florida Happenings.

I went out this past weekend for a little ✨ birthday celebration ✨ when one of my friends asked if I wanted to have some oysters. Huh?????

I had never tried them before and just from looking at them, I was not too keen to change that right at that moment. But I am a big proponent for trying new things and said, ‘Why the heck not?’ and the first oyster experience happened. Not my favorite, but I also didn’t hate it. Personally, I’d rather have an order of calamari or something for the table, but it was a fun experience nonetheless 💃.

If you take anything from that story, I hope it encourages you to try or see something new this weekend (or just order calamari if it’s a choice). Let’s get into what’s happening ⤵️

(Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex)

The holiday festivities will soon be underway at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

Holidays in Space will launch starting this weekend 🚀. Take a trip through the stars with a nightly projection show, check out décor all over the complex and even see the NASA meatball-turned-holiday ornament.

Click here to learn more about the show and what else to expect during the event.

(Some Like It Hot)

A show that’s set to bring some toe-tapping razzle dazzle is coming to downtown Orlando’s Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

“Some Like It Hot,” the hit Tony and Grammy Award-winning Broadway musical set during the Prohibition era, follows two musicians who witness a mob hit and then go on the run and change their identities.

News 6′s Setting the Stage newsletter author Brooke Savage interviewed one of the stars, who explained how the musical comedy is based off a Marilyn Monroe film but with a modern twist. Click here to check out the interview.

So if you haven’t made it out yet to see the Christmas lights and displays, now’s the time!
