Hi, friends! It’s Brenda, back in your inbox for all the Central Florida Happenings.
You’re receiving this special edition of Central Florida Happenings on a Friday because I had to just let you know about the fun New Year’s events happenings next week.
There is a ton going on for the new year (hello, 2025?!?!), so if you’re up to checking out an event, we have you covered.
Here’s what’s going on ⤵️
If you’re wanting to LITERALLY jump into the new year, this event is definitely for you 🎊.
On New Year’s Day, participants can jump into the clear, 72-degree water at DeLeon Springs State Park to get their year started on a high.
It’s a unique way to celebrate the new year and to take part in something new if you’ve never done it before.
Participants will all jump in the spring pool at the same time, but in two different shifts this year. Click here to learn more.
From galas to street parties to firework displays, Central Florida is gearing up to ring in the new year 🥂.
I put together this county-by-county list of events on New Year’s Eve that you can check out to welcome in 2025!

This weekend is the last weekend to catch Holidays in Space at Kennedy Space Center 🌌.
Take a trip through the stars with a nightly projection show, check out décor all over the complex and even see the NASA meatball-turned-holiday ornament.
