ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Former President Bill Clinton spoke at an early voting event Sunday in Eatonville on behalf of Vice President Kamala Harris while Sen. Rick Scott, R-Florida, held a get-out-the-vote rally in Orlando that afternoon.

Sunday is the last day for early voting in Orange, Osceola and Seminole Counties. The polls will close at 8 p.m. in Orange and Osceola counties and at 7 p.m. in Seminole County.

Orange County has so far seen record numbers in early voting, what recently prompted Elections Supervisor Glen Gilzean to open a series of “express” voting sites meant to ease the long lines at several polling places. An interactive map was also launched to show real-time waits at the county’s early voting locations.

“I do know something about the job that Vice President Harris and President Trump are running for, and I know both of them,” Clinton said while visiting Eatonville. “And the first thing you got to decide – this is really serious – is how you’re going to keep score. Because every four years, a presidential election is the world’s greatest job interview, and you’re doing the hiring, and people that don’t agree with you on anything, they’re doing the hiring.”

Meanwhile at the Orange County GOP headquarters on Orange Avenue, Senator Rick Scott made his case for reelection while also supporting former President Donald Trump. Scott is in a tight race with Democrat Debbie Mucarsel-Powell.

“Get your vote out, go vote,” Scott said. “We think we’re gonna do well because people want change. We’ve got to help Republicans up and down the ticket. The way we make sure President Trump wins is we win every state.”
