Tom Brady, through the years: In pictures

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady will officially retire, he announced Tuesday on Instagram.

The 44-year-old, who is widely considered to be the greatest quarterback in NFL history, won seven Lombardi trophies, the most championships won by a single player, along with five Super Bowl MVPs.

Brady led the Buccaneers to a Super Bowl victory last season against the Kansas City Chiefs.

This year, the Bucs won the NFC South, but Tampa Bay fell to the Los Angeles Rams, 30-27, in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.

Either way, it’s been quite a career for Brady.
