ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Magic are trading Mo Bamba to the Los Angeles Lakers for guard Patrick Beverley, News 6 sports director Jamie Seh has confirmed.

Bamba, 24, was the sixth pick of the 2018 NBA Draft and was averaging 7.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists per contest in 40 games this season.

Beverley, 34, was in his first season with the Lakers and was averaging 6.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.

The Magic are 22-33 this season.

The trade was first reported Thursday by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
