ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – Talking basketball inside the walls of Lake Brantley High School is more commonplace now, and Landen Paquette is adding to the noise.
The senior guard routinely brings down the house for the Patriots. Paquette led the team in scoring this past season.
Lake Brantley is a program on the rise. The Patriots won 19 games this season. Paquette attributes much of the success to guys hanging out more over the winter break.
The chemistry improved, and the wins started racking up. And Paquette’s confidence grew in a key area of the game.
“My sophomore and junior year I really didn’t shoot the ball at all,” Paquette told News 6. “At the end of my junior year, there was a lot of teams that were starting to purposefully play back on me because they knew I couldn’t really shoot the rock. Over the summer, I just focused on that all summer. I’ve kind of developed a shot and still developing it.”
