Orlando City plays New York to 1-1 draw

Lions extend unbeaten streak to 5 games

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando City extended its unbeaten streak to five games with a 1-1 draw against Orlando City on Saturday evening.

Lions’ forward Ramiro Enrique scored for Orlando City, his fourth consecutive match with a goal. However, New York’s Alonso Martínez tied the game a few minutes later.

“Big effort from the players after these couple weeks that we had been playing every three days,” Orlando City coach Oscar Pareja said. “I would like to value that effort. Two teams tried to put a good performance, and from our side, in the first half, we had control, but we were not as dangerous as we were coming in the prior games.”

Orlando enters the mid-year break from league action and will begin their Group Stage run in Leagues Cup 2024. The Lions will first host CF Montréal in group play at home on July 26.
