ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF Knights (3-1, 1-1 Big 12) look forward to a big in-state game against the Florida Gators (2-2, 1-1 SEC) this Saturday night in Gainesville.

UCF Head Coach Gus Malzahn, wide receiver and former Gator Trent Whittemore and defensive back Mac McWilliams will speak on Monday in UCF’s weekly press conference.

This will be UCF’s first trip to The Swamp since 2006. Florida hold a 2-1 all-time series lead, including a 2-0 record in Gainesville. The last meeting between these two teams was the 2021 Gasparilla Bowl with UCF winning 29-17.

The Knights are coming off a disappointing 48-21 loss to Colorado at home. It was the first loss for the Knights this season. A lot of national attention was on that game with the “Big Noon Kickoff,” FOX’s flagship college football pregame show, and Colorado featuring Head Coach Deion “Primetime” Sanders and star players Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter.

The Gators will be coming off a bye week after winning at Mississippi State 45-28 two weeks ago. The big win came at a good time for Head Coach Billy Napier with fans calling for his removal after disappointing losses to start this season. The Gators have not beaten a Power Four school at home since Oct. 7, 2023, with a 38-14 win over Vanderbilt.

This game in The Swamp is sold out, the ninth-straight home game sellout for the Gators.
