ORLANDO, Fla. – Jayden Wilkerson has his sights set on playing college football
The 6-foot-7 senior offensive lineman for the Edgewater Eagles recently put his college plans in ink, signing a letter of intent to play for the Miami Hurricanes and head coach Mario Cristobal.
“It’s close to home,” Wilkerson said on his decision to join the ‘Canes. “I really think the coaches there can get me to the next level and push me. They’re really good people and they really know what they’re talking about. I trust them with everything.”

Wilkerson is one of the best offensive linemen in the state and now gets the chance to bring those skills to South Florida.
“It’s been a dream,” Wilkerson told News 6. “I’m real excited to get after it and show them what I can do and work my tail off (...) to be able to go to the great University of Miami is a blessing.”
