ORLANDO, Fla. – Brody Juntunen is a strikeout machine for Timber Creek High School.
The senior right-handed pitcher has been crucial for the Wolves on the mound. Last season, Juntunen recorded 61 strikeouts and a 1.6 ERA. This season through 15 games, he’s already thrown 33 strikeouts.
Timber Creek made the state final four last year. And this year, Juntunen wants more in his final season.
“We worked so hard for it last season,” Juntunen told News 6. “To come up short in those state semis, you want it back and you want to get there again. We got a great group of guys. I think we have a good shot to put our best out there.”
Juntunen will stay in Florida to continue his baseball journey at Florida Atlantic University.
“I just loved the coaching staff out there and the environment,” Juntunen said. “They made it feel like home once I got there. It was just the fit for me.”
