Orlando celebrates Pride championship victory with parade and fireworks

ORLANDO, Fla. – The city of Orlando celebrated Monday as fans gathered downtown to honor the Orlando Pride following their historic championship win.

A parade led to a gathering at City Hall, complete with fireworks and confetti.

The parade kicked off with cheers and chants as team members expressed their gratitude to the city.

“It’s absolutely incredible,” said one player. “The support has been unreal this whole year. Thank you guys so much, it’s such a blessing!”

“It’s such a journey, and it requires so much grit and tenacity,” another said. “Everyone has really shown up this year for that!”

Fans of all ages shared their excitement and pride for the team.

Others spoke about the importance of the victory for women’s sports.

Supporters who have followed the team closely throughout the season described the championship as the result of hard work and resilience.

“They played a lot of good teams. That last one-score game was amazing!” a fan said.
