Settlement reached in death of Disney employee

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – Disney has reached a settlement with the family of an employee who was killed in 2011 while testing a ride at Animal Kingdom.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, the case was scheduled for trial this week, but Russell Roscoe's widow and Disney struck a deal.

The terms of the deal are confidential.

Roscoe, a Disney mechanic, was killed during a test run of the Primeval Whirl ride at the park.
