ORLANDO, Fla. – Universal Orlando’s popular Revenge of the Mummy attraction has now crossed a major milestone, 100 million riders.
First debuting in 2004, guests are supposed to be entering a real Egyptian tomb that is now part of a Hollywood set. The only problem - it’s cursed.

The award-winning roller-coaster attraction launches guests forward, backward, and deep into the depths of Imhotep’s tomb. Guests try and escape the mummy curse narrowly evading scarab beetles, fiery explosions and a terrifying army of mummies.
The ride also features actor Brendan Fraser from the original film franchise.
Back in October, Universal Orlando announced the popular ride will be undergoing a lengthy refurbishment beginning Jan. 7.
The attraction is expected to remain closed through late summer 2022.
Universal Orlando has not said what changes will be made to the ride.
