ORLANDO, Fla. – Walt Disney World is set to introduce new changes to its Lightning Lane passes next month, according to the park’s blog.

In a release, Disney officials announced that Disney Genie+ will become the “Lightning Lane Multi-Pass,” while individual Lightning Lane passes will instead be known as “Lightning Lane Single Passes.”

The multi-pass will allow guests to make up to three Lightning Lane selections at a Disney theme park before arrival. In addition, guests will be able to select from available times as they make their choices.

Meanwhile, the single pass will work much like it already does, with guests being allowed to secure a time to ride the more in-demand attractions. However, this pass will also let guests make their purchases and plans in advance, according to the release.

“Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel and other select hotels will be able to plan Lightning Lane passes up to seven days in advance for their entire stay (up to 14 days),” the blog reads. “All other guests can plan up to three days in advance.”

The release states that the changes will go into effect on July 24.
