Halloween Spooktacular to bring fall fun at SeaWorld Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. – Starting Aug. 31, the weekends at SeaWorld Orlando will embrace the fall season with Halloween Spooktacular returns.

From trick-or-treating to a dance party with Sesame Street friends, families will be able to experience various immersive and engaging activities both new and returning.

  • Shamu & Crew Spooktacular Breakfast (New): Guests can start their day at SeaFire Grill with Shamu & Crew characters. This exclusive experience comes with an additional cost.
  • Harvest maze (New): Guests will wander through the twists and turns in a classic autumn addition.
  • Reimagined pumpkin garden and storyteller: While meandering through the Pumpkin Garden, guests can see just how many friendly pumpkin fish they spot. Additionally, guests can join interactive storytelling followed by the ALL-NEW Bubble Dance Party.
  • Trick-or-treat candy trail: Children can dress up in their favorite costumes and stop by 12 candy stations featuring a variety of sweets and snacks. Guests can purchase a SeaWorld trick-or-treat bag which is available at the entrance of the trick-or-treat trail.
  • Sesame Street Halloween parade: Dance and play along with Elmo and friends who have dressed up for Halloween and are throwing a colorful musical experience.
  • Scarecrow Halloween dance party: Taking place at the Journey to Atlantis Plaza, deejays will be playing fun tunes while scarecrows show off their moves during select performance times throughout the day.
  • Halloween kids crafts: Kids can enjoy some Halloween coloring and crafts on the candy path.
  • Spooktacular Scavenger Hunt: With the purchase of the special map at Coconut Bay Trader’s, families can explore the park and track down SeaWorld’s colorful Halloween friends. Guests can redeem the completed map at Coconut Bay Trader’s for a unique prize.
  • Costume contest: On Fridays in October, guests can showcase their costume skills at Journey to Atlantis Plaza for a chance to win exciting prizes.
  • Meet-a-Mermaid: While on the treat-or-treat trail, guests can meet and mingle with a mermaid.
  • Halloween cookie decorating: During select times on Sesame Street Land during Spooktacular, kids can customize fall-inspired cookies with a special guest. Cookie decorating kits are available for purchase.
  • Halloween storytime with Big Bird: During scheduled times at Big Bird’s nest, guests can gather around to hear some of his favorite Halloween tales.

Those with food allergies are encouraged to take part in the Teal Pumpkin Program.

Guests can collect teal tokens at candy stations instead of those treats and redeem the tokens for allergy-friendly items at Coconut Bay Traders in the Key West area of the park.

All guests are welcome to dress up in Halloween costumes.

Guests ages 13 and older may not wear costume masks or hoods, and all costumes are subject to the normal dress code for the park. Face painting is not permitted on any guest unless it is done by park artists.

The daytime event takes place every Saturday and Sunday starting Aug. 31 and includes Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 2. The event then extends to Friday through Sunday starting Oct. 11 through Nov. 3.

Howl-O-Scream returns to SeaWorld Orlando

When night falls, SeaWorld Orlando’s Howl-O-Scream emerges once again to promise an experience for mature audiences and takes screams to the extreme.

This year’s event features five haunted houses and seven scare zones along with several bars, haunts and shows.

Thrilling attractions such as Mako, Infinity Falls, Pipeline and Ice Breaker will be open. SeaWorld Orlando’s Howl-O-Scream will take place on select dates from Sept. 6 – Nov. 2.

On Sept. 13, SeaWorld Orlando will host the inaugural Howl-O-Sprint 5K Run.
