PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. – When it comes to travel, cruises have become a common choice.
There has been no shortage of Disney cruise announcements lately, as the cruise line looks for more opportunities to bring its stories to life on the high seas.
In 2022, Disney Cruise Line launched its Triton class ships. Built by Meyer Werft in Germany, the ships are or will be Florida-based.
Below is a rundown of the present and future ships of the Triton class.
Disney Wish
Taking its maiden voyage in July 2022, the Disney Wish kicked off the largest expansion in Disney Cruise Line history.
Three innovative dining experiences incorporate the unique and rich history of the Walt Disney Company: Worlds of Marvel, 1923, and Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure.

There’s plenty of family fun to be had on the ship. Inside Disney’s Oceaneer Club, kids will find activities from the worlds of “Marvel,” “Star Wars,” Disney Imagineering and so much more.
There are unique theatrical stage shows and performances on board the ship like the Broadway-style take on Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “The Little Mermaid.”
As for an adult escape, bars and lounges aboard the ship allow for a more flexible, free-flow experience allowing guests, particularly parents, more opportunities to enjoy time together throughout their cruise, the company said.
Some of the bars include Princess and the Frog inspired “The Bayou,” Cinderella’s “Nightingale’s,” “Keg & Compass,” and the highly immersive “Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge.”
Senses Spa features private treatment rooms and lavish spa villas for couples as well as a dedicated outdoor relaxation space that includes whirlpool spas, plush loungers, and yoga sessions.
The Disney Wish offers 3-and 4-night cruises to The Bahamas and the Caribbean.
Disney Treasure
It’ll be a December to treasure for the first-paying passengers aboard the second of three Triton class vessels and the sixth overall to the Disney Cruise Line fleet.
The Treasure will usher in a whole new era of cruise travel, showcasing experiences from stories like “Aladdin,” “Coco,” and “Zootopia.”
The Disney Treasure will be the first ship for Disney Cruise Line to draw inspiration from beloved theme park attractions like the Skipper Society lounge (bringing the Jungle Cruise to the ocean waters), the Haunted Mansion Parlor, and the Periscope Pub, which pays tribute to the 1954 film “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.”
One of the new dining experiences onboard the Disney Treasure is “Plaza de Coco,” which is a Mexican restaurant set after the events of the movie “Coco.”
The Treasure will include two other dining experiences that made their Wish debut (Worlds of Marvel and 1923) but with different renditions.
On the top deck, the 760-foot-long water slide attraction will plunge guests into the world of Mickey Mouse animated shorts.
The ocean princess herself has a home on a cruise ship. Disney announced earlier this year that “Disney The Tale of Moana” will premiere exclusively aboard the Disney Treasure.
As for lodging, the Disney Treasure will have 1,256 staterooms onboard. Its concierge, royal, and tower suites will feature elegant interiors.
The Disney Treasure will embark on its maiden voyage, a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise from Port Canaveral on Dec. 21, followed by an inaugural season of seven-night itineraries to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Port Canaveral.
Disney Destiny
Do you want to be a hero or a villain? Why not both?
Rounding out the class of Triton ships is the Disney Destiny. The upcoming seventh ship of Disney Cruise Line will be a legacy of iconic Disney heroes and villains, particularly from “The Lion King,” “Hercules” and “101 Dalmatians.”
Disney Cruise Line has also assembled something special for Marvel fans, from the statue of the Black Panther in the Grand Hall to an Iron Man-inspired penthouse.
For a glamourous night out on the seas, look no further than a piano bar, inspired by Disney’s stylish villainess, Cruella de Vil.
Just like the Treasure, the Destiny will also pay tribute to another beloved Disney attraction. Cask and Cannon will please all pirates aboard the ship as they sail to the Caribbean.
The Disney Destiny will also debut:
- “Disney Hercules,” an all-new, Broadway-style show retelling the popular Disney Animation film
- The Sanctum, Disney Cruise Line’s first lounge inspired by the powerful sorcerers and mystical artifacts of Marvel’s Doctor Strange
- Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King, a first-of-its-kind dining experience celebrating the music of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “The Lion King”
The Disney Destiny will sail its maiden voyage from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Nov. 20, 2025.
