Interim City Manager Rick McFadden announced in a news release that he learned Thursday he had tested positive for the highly contagious virus. The interim city manager has spent time in both buildings recently, he said. City staff will be working remotely. To reach staff members while the facilities are closed, community members can call 386-517-2000 for city hall and leave a message.

City officials had originally said the pier will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week.
