POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – A Florida nurse has been charged with video voyeurism after being accused of planting a hidden camera in a public restroom at the rehab clinic where he worked. The South Florida Sun Sentinel reports Davidson Rozier, 33, was arrested Tuesday. The probe began in January, when another employee at 1st Step Behavioral Health in Pompano Beach, Florida, discovered a small camera hidden inside a box of tissues on the back of a toilet in the rehab clinic’s unisex restroom, the arrest report said. Rozier was fired that same day after clinic managers reviewed the camera’s footage and saw Rozier’s face and badge as he placed the camera. Investigators reviewed the video footage and found images of at least one person who was unknowingly filmed while using the restroom, the report said.

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 19-year-old Pompano Beach man is accused of attacking a security guard at Disney World at Animal Kingdom. James Patrick Arvid is facing charges of a battery on a uniformed security guard. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to Animal Kingdom around 3:17 p.m. on Oct. 25. The Sheriff’s Office said Arvid was transported to Celebration Hospital for treatment as he was not being responsive to commands. According to an arrest affidavit, a doctor told deputies Arvid told a nurse “I took LSD and tried to kill someone.”Investigators said Arvid could not recall anything else from the day.

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. A 93-year-old Florida man was struck and killed after getting out of his vehicle Tuesday night on I-95 in Volusia County, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The fatal crash was reported around 8:40 p.m. on I-95 north near Ormond Beach. According to the FHP, the Pompano Beach man exited his car, which was stopped or disabled in the left travel lane, and was struck by an SUV driven by a 23-year-old Palm Coast woman. The woman, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, according to the FHP. Troopers said the woman was unable to avoid the stopped car, which was also struck by her SUV.

SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. An 84-year-old Pompano Beach woman died in a crash Monday evening on Floridas Turnpike in Sumter County. The van hit the rear of another van, causing that vehicle to crash into the back of a pickup truck, trooper said. A passenger in the fist van died as a result of the crash. The driver of the van and another passenger suffered serious injuries. The driver and two passengers in the second vehicle also suffered serious injuries, according to the report.
