An 11-year-old boy arrested over the summer in connection to a series of “swatting” threats against Flagler County schools was sentenced after being adjudicated delinquent, according to the sheriff’s office.

In a release, DOJ officials said that the man — Alan Filion, 18 — admitted to making over 375 swatting and threat calls between August 2022 and January 2024.

Deputies with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI are set to hold a meeting Wednesday to help parents and guardians on how to keep their children safe from the internet.
