Residents are still encouraged to reduce the risk of being affected by brush fires by creating a defensible space of at least 30 feet around their homes by keeping grass moved and vegetation cut away.

This past weekend, Osceola County issued the burn ban, prohibiting residents from burning anything outside. This includes campfires, burning waste, and setting off fireworks.
