OCALA, Fla. – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a 50-car CSX freight train late Thursday in Marion County, deputies said.
The fatal crash happened around 11:15 p.m. along U.S. 441 between 52nd and 62nd streets south of Ocala.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to the area and found one person dead.
No other details, including whey the person was on the tracks, have been released.
The train was hauling rocks.
Authorities and CSX will investigate the crash.
